Yin Yang Yoga for Autumn, Part 1

THE SERIES
Experience a tender yoga practice that combines the soft and lingering aspects of gentle and restorative yoga with the revitalizing power of hatha and yin. This Yin Yang 8-week yoga series flows through dynamic and still movement to mirror the ebbs and flows of seasonal change as we move from summer towards winter. Enjoy an autumnal practice to situate you in the beautiful change.

THE SESSION: PART 1 OF 8
Today’s 60-minute live Yin Yang Yoga for Autumn session pairs warming flows with cooling asana to parallel the shifting autumnal vibes. We engage in warming breath with surya bedhana before engaging in slow, seated forms, then move into prone shapes in which we touch our front bodies to the earth. Heat builds with a vinyasa flow to include Warriors I and II and then we spend time in vrksasana, tree pose, the culminating asana of an autumn class, before we explore plough. Enjoy this grounding practice!
