I can’t tell you exactly how many times I have recreated my business and brand on this journey, but it must be in the ballpark of at least ten times. Each time that I gain fresh energy I get inspired to move my business in a slightly different direction, and I feel as if I need to start from scratch. Sometimes I have kept certain elements of the previous business (such as the name or the newsletter or the website), but most of the time I just erase everything I built and start again.

So what kind of businesses have I done? I’ve done a clothing and book sales business, five or six fitness or personal training businesses, a life vlog, book reviews, academic editing services, game development and game writing, ASMR, knitting and jewelery crafts, reiki and reiki ASMR, yoga, cooking and recipes, and writing. I have tried on so many coats and have gained a lot of experience along the way through the last twenty years.
I am at a point at which I notice how much I love owning my own business. Because I am a bit of a renaissance woman, I realize that I have many directions that I can go and this can overwhelm me, especially because I work a full-time job as well as several part-time jobs while running each business, not to mention being a mom.
This has caused burnout for me very quickly. I have lacked the courage to simply jump right in to my business(es) due to fear for basic survival.
But the universe gives us messages and it seems to be telling me that a time has come to dedicate myself to what I truly love.
What in your life has continued to pull you towards it?
Fresh Energy
Wyola Yoga & Reiki seems to be what I’ve been looking to create all along. It’s going to be a brick-and-mortar business with virtual options. I can offer my style of reiki energy healing with ASMR elements, and my style of yoga, as well as special wellness events.
I can offer special events that include poetry and writing. I can sell my crafts in the studio store.
While I do regret that I deleted my 75k+ followers account on TikTok and my Facebook account with more than 12k followers, I look forward to starting over again (again), and I thank you for being there along the way.
