How many levels are there for Reiki certification?
Different programs have different levels for certification; however, most programs include at least three and sometimes four. Evening Springtime’s program includes four levels (Reiki I, Reiki II, Reiki Master, and Reiki Master Teacher). In addition, I also offer add-on certification courses for specialty Reiki practice, such as Reiki ASMR, Reiki Crystal Therapy, Reiki Social Media, Reiki Business, Reiki Yoga, and Cosmic Shamanism. Not all courses are available yet (but I’m working on it!).
How is the course structured?
This is a self-paced online course, which means that you can access the course anywhere, anytime, and in your own way: an internet connection is required. I provide various modalities for learning, including video, audio, and transcript in most lessons. The course is organized into three Modules that each conclude with an assessment. There is a final exam and then you need to schedule your virtual attunement ceremony before you receive your certificate.
What is the “attunement ceremony” required to get certified?
The Reiki attunement ceremony is an initiation bestowed by a Master. While anyone can access Reiki energy and use it with some proficiency, the attunement aligns a practitioner with the energy for greater ease of use. Reiki becomes more intuitive and available to anyone who has been attuned. There is an adjustment period following your attunement in which the Reiki energy acclimates, becoming uniquely yours. You may receive intuitive messages during or after the attunement…and certainly always during your practice to come. When you sign up for your attunement, after you have passed three assessments, you will select a date and time to receive distance Reiki attunement from me, appropriate for your level of certification. The ceremony comes with instructions, which you will receive at your booking. You will receive the attunement in a space of your choosing. It is a virtual event.
Are there any prerequisites to enroll in the program?
There is no prerequisite to enroll in Reiki I. However, to enroll in any of the other Reiki programs you need to hold certification at the level that comes before it. For example, to enroll in the Reiki Master program, you must possess Reiki II certification. Only Reiki Masters are welcome to enroll in the upper-level specialty courses (such as Reiki Crystal Therapy, Reiki ASMR, etc.).
Is this certification accredited?
Yes, this Reiki certification program is accredited by International Association of Therapists (IAOTH). Your certification enables you to register as a Reiki practitioner with IAOTH.
What can I do with a Reiki certification?
Currently there are no formal requirements for Reiki practitioners to practice in medical environments in the USA; generally, companies and institutions decide their own criteria for hiring Reiki practitioners on their team. Practitioners most frequently open their own personal practice/business to offer Reiki to clients. However, they also frequently volunteer at health clinics. Reiki Masters with a Teacher-level certification can teach and train others to become Reiki practitioners. Attuning to Reiki allows you to more fully heal yourself and, of course, to assist others in healing themselves.
